Explore Kim Bong and Tra Nhieu by bike, boat to Cam Thanh village for local interactions.

The tour guide picks you up at your hotel. Begin cycling to Hoi An pier and embark on the ferry crossing the Thu Bon river to Kim Bong village. On the boat, you will immerse yourselves into the comfortable fresh air and enjoy the idyllic landscapes on both sides of the river.

Start your adventure at your hotel as we embark on a journey filled with cycling, boat rides, and extraordinary cultural encounters.

Our journey begins with a bike ride to Hoi An pier, where we’ll step onto a ferry that gracefully crosses the Thu Bon river, surrounding ourselves with the invigorating, clean air and captivating landscapes on both sides.

As we reach Kim Bong village, we enter a realm renowned for its masterful wood carving traditions. Initially, artisans inherited their skills from the Northern Vietnamese, but through subsequent exchanges and trade, they absorbed the wisdom of Chinese and Japanese sculptors, ultimately cultivating a unique, signature style. Our exploration includes a cycling tour of the village, where we’ll witness the local daily life and have the privilege of visiting a carpenter’s workshop to marvel at their talents. Should you desire, you can bring a piece of their craftsmanship home as a cherished memento.

Our journey continues along scenic trails, traversing rice paddies and bamboo bridges lining the river, leading us to Tra Nhieu village—a genuine countryside experience at the heart of Vietnam. Here, you’ll encounter local artisans like Ms. Duoc, who weaves intricate mats, Mr. Kha, a skilled bamboo sampan basket maker, and Mr. Huynh Ri, a craftsman showcasing his expertise. Surrounding you along the way will be the enchanting landscapes of palm and rice fields, buffalo plowing the fields, and farmers diligently working the land.

From Tra Nhieu, we embark on a boat trip down the Thu Bon River, with the picturesque backdrop of fishing farms and water palm trees accompanying us. Our journey leads us to Cam Thanh village, where you’ll have the opportunity to board a charming round bamboo sampan basket boat. Enjoy a delightful session of crab catching in the water palm tree forest, providing a serene interlude after hours of cycling.

Following this, we’ll pause for a tranquil respite in the home of a local fisherman, Mr. Phong. Here, you can savor a soothing cup of green tea and experience a foot massage with medicinal herbs harvested from the family garden. Next, we’ll use freshly gathered vegetables and herbs from Tra Que village to participate in a small cooking session, preparing an array of signature dishes, including crispy pancakes with meat, shrimp, and beansprouts, Hoi An-style spring rolls, Tam Huu, and grilled fish in banana leaves. Finally, you’ll relish the dishes you’ve masterfully crafted.

In the afternoon, we return to your hotel, enriched with unforgettable memories of this immersive and cultural journey.
